WINDOWS CE POWER SITE OF THE MONTH
A veritable Geek bonanza
By Denise Amrich

Each month, Windows CE Power brings you a cool site of the month. This month's winner is UGeek.com, shown in Figure A.

FIGURE A

UGeek.com is a veritable geek bonanza! Roll over picture for a larger image.

According to Jeff Evans, chief Geek at UGeek, this fun and valuable site was created "to fill a gaping hole on the 'Net--a place that Geeks or even wanna-be Geeks could call home…an online resource for Geeks, written by Geeks, for Geeks".

If you believe the dictionary, you're probably thinking that Geek refers to someone who is either a carnival performer who bites the head off of live chickens or someone who is often disapproved of because of his or her intellectual nature. Well, the Geek definition in the dictionary is far from the Geek definition that's alive and well today.

If you're wondering whether or not you could be considered a Geek, visit the Welcome page on this fun site at http://www.UGeek.com/welcome.htm. The folks at UGeek take being Geeks very seriously, and their little test will help you determine what level of Geekdom you fit into, Wanna-be/Beginner Geek, Intermediate Geek, Advanced Geek, or Super Geek. They'll even help you jump a level or two if you aspire to a higher level of Geekdom.

If you're already well aware that you are a Geek and you love it, dive right into the many resources on this great page, including the latest technology news, cute Geek-related cartoons, contests, software reviews, system upgrade information, dream-gaming system information, reader feedback, and a whole section devoted to PDAs.

Have fun visiting http://www.UGeek.com!
